BANAUE, Ifugao – A task force was formed here to help implement and deliver the programs and services of the municipal government and other agencies to the people.
Mayor John Raymund Wesley Dulawan issued Executive Order 39 creating the “Oplan kaayusan: Discipline, order, cleanliness (Ok Doc) Task Force. He chairs said TF with 10 employees as members.
“With the increasing need of providing public order and safety, it fits to create a task force who shall aid law enforcement agents in the implementation of local laws in the municipality,” Dulawan said.
The TF will assist in the implementation of ordinances and in the regulation of traffic upon proper training. It will also assist the police and act as agents of persons in authority in the implementation of laws relative to peace and security and complement law enforcers in the campaign against illegal drugs, gambling and other forms of criminality.
The TF is also an innovation of local officials in dealing with traffic woes that affected the status of the municipality during the road clearing operations recently. – Marcelo B. Lihwagon
