LAMUT, Ifugao – Gov. Jerry Dalipog has issued Executive Order 5 s. 2021 creating the Vaccine Operative Cluster Team (VOCT) in preparation for the Philippine National Covid-19 vaccination roadmap and implementation plan.
The governor chairs the VOCT with the vice governor as vice chair. The members are the municipal mayors, chief of hospitals, sangguniang panlalawigan members, heads of offices of the provincial government; and representatives from the national offices, academe, and selected non-government organizations.
The team will oversee the implementation of vaccination in the province and provide guidance on vaccine delivery strategies, acceptance, human resource management, and capacity building, supply chain and management of health care waste safety, and surveillance and immunization monitoring system.
It must guide the implementation and provision of a free, safe and effective, high quality vaccine/s prioritizing the most at risk and most vulnerable populations and must take charge of coordinating and consolidating the vaccine procurement by the local government units.
The VOCT will ensure implementation of risk communication, health education, and community engagement activities using diverse platforms and the conduct of strategies and interventions addressing vaccine hesitancy and other functions as may be delegated. – Marcelo B. Lihgawon
