LAMUT, Ifugao – Health services are now accessible in the different barangays of the province through the Health Facility Enhancement Project (HFEP) of the Department of Health.
The DOH has provided P15.6 million for the construction, rehabilitation, and provision of equipment to hospitals and barangay health stations (BHS) for the delivery of needed services, particularly in the far-flung barangays.
A total of P7.5M was used for the repair, completion, and relocation of 12 BHS in Aguinaldo, Alfonso Lista, Hingyon, Lagawe, Mayoyao, and Tinoc, while P1.5M was allotted for the construction of the Dalligan Health Station in Kiangan.
The DOH also provide P4.1-M worth of medical equipment to Poblacion East, Lagawe and Ubao, Aguinaldo health stations and the district hospitals of Panopdopan, Lamut, and Potia in Alfonso Lista.
The Aguinaldo Rural Health Unit also acquired P2.5-M vehicle
The HFEP is comprised infrastructure, equipment, and manpower. If needed, the DOH also provides for the barangay health worker to help supervise the health station and ensure services are delivered to the people. – Marcelo B. Lihgawon
