The prestigious 20th Nanoy Ilusorio Cup fires off Dec. 30 at the tricky Baguio Country Club fairway with top parbusters expecting to see action during the yearend tournament.
BCC has adopted the shotgun tee times wherein the first tee time starts at 7 a.m. followed by the 12:30 p.m.
Pairings per flight will be based on the December handicap of each player while those without registered handicap will be given zero handicap.
Only 144 players will be allowed to register on a first come, first served basis while late players will not be disqualified, but shall get an automatic double par score on the holes they failed to play.
Using the System 36 for classification and Molave for point system, the player with the lowest gross scores in the men’s, ladies’, and seniors’ division will be declared champions of this year’s Nanoy Ilusorio Cup.
Classifications will be class A, B, C, and D for the men’s and class A, B, and C for the ladies’ and seniors’ while the dependent’s division will have three classifications.
To speed up play, gimme putts will be allowed, as all 18 holes at the par-61 fairway will be marked for gimme.
Special prizes will be the longest drive at hole three, most accurate drive at hole eight, nearest to the pin at hole one, and the golf course inspector award.
Registration is P1,800 for members and P3,300 for sponsored guests. Those who wish to be entitled with two mulligans will pay P200. – Harley F. Palangchao
