The Filipino Chinese community in Baguio and Benguet were joined by political leaders, business owners, and residents in celebrating the Spring Festival, as they also welcomed the Year of the Wood Dragon with a grand parade at the city’s central business district on Feb. 13.
Throngs of residents and tourists alike lined up along the central business district to witness the parade, which became more exciting with the distribution of candies and other goodies to the crowd.
According to the Chinese horoscope, the dragon is a majestic and lucky creature in Chinese folklore, symbolizing bravery, creativity, and innovation.
