JCI Baguio Sunflower in collaboration with the Sangguniang Kabataan and other youth groups in Baguio will be hosting on March 8, the 4th run of Womentor, an intimate mentoring program for women by women.
This year’s offering is bold and brave with “Self-made: The future is female” as its central theme. The program done via Zoom and streamed live through the JCI Baguio Sunflower and Sangguniang Kabataan Facebook pages will be graced by a roster of empowered women who have made something of themselves in male-dominated industries.
The likes of the first Filipina pilot, Aimee Carandang; Sustainable Alternative Lighting lamp inventor, Engr. Aisa Mijeno; budding filmmaker, Guillienne Sanchez, National Commission for Culture and the Arts Executive Council member Rebecca Nulud; international car race champion, Karen Navarette-Anton make up the roster of mentors.
Together with other mentors who shall cover varied topics of interest on Philosophy, transporation, tattoo art, Engineering and Management, they will counsel 10 to 15 young women in simultaneous mentoring programs done via Zoom’s Breakout Room feature.
Womentor is the brainchild of former JCI national president Christine Garcia who thought that young women leaders of Baguio would need inspiration and guidance to achieve their goals and aspirations.
