Kabayan remains free of the Covid-19 for six reasons.
In a recent online briefing hosted by Presidential Communications and Operations Office Sec. Martin Andanar, Mayor Faustino Aquisan said being Covid-19-free for six months now is due to “Secret,” – the residents have Self-discipline; the incident management team has an Effective and Efficient system; the municipal government Closely Coordinates with partner agencies in government and in the private sector such as the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, Citizens Armed Forces Geographical Unit, Barangay Health Emergency Response Team, private business establishments, among others; the people have Respect for laws; Excellent communication and information handling; and Timeliness in addressing issues and concerns.
Aquisan enjoined the people of Kabayan to keep up with their Secret weapon in keeping the town Covid-19-free even as Benguet has already recorded more than 200 cases as of Sept. 9.
He also thanked the association of religious ministers of Kabayan who are also helping in reminding their flock to abide by the law and the protocols. – Susan C. Aro
