TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Frontline health workers in the province are now provided daily free ride under the Libreng Sakay para sa Healthcare Workers program.

A project of the Department of Transportation and Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board in partnership with local transport groups, it aims to provide relief to frontline health workers in this time of the Covid-19 pandemic when public transport is a problem.

In Tabuk City, the Northlandia Transport Service Multipurpose Cooperative provides transport service to two routes, Barangay Bulanao-Barangay Dagupan and Barangay Bulanao-Barangay Agbannawag.

The cooperative has assigned two van units per route daily to ferry health workers working in various clinics, hospitals, rural health units, and other health stations.

The rides will pick up passengers at designated points from 6:30 a.m. to midnight. Passengers must strictly comply with health protocols. – Larry Lopez
