Three Team Lakay fighters were listed as among the ONE Championship athletes with best spinning knockouts in the history of the biggest mixed martial arts promotion in Asia.

ONE reported that some of the most memorable knockouts in the promotion’s history have come via spinning techniques, with the world’s greatest martial artists using their rapid rotations to deliver punches, kicks, and elbows.

These spinning techniques are always certain to ignite a crowd. Not only do they look the part, but also, they are extremely powerful and can instantly end a match, too.

Finely-tuned delivery is what separates a near-miss from a knockout finish, and it takes years of diligent training to master these techniques and perfectly execute them in competition.

Here are the best spinning attack finishes ever witnessed on the global stage:

Pacio nails Doliguez with a spinning backfist

ONE strawweight world champion Joshua Pacio is no stranger to sensational finishes, but his stoppage of Roy Doliguez at ONE: Legends of the World in November 2017 is still one of his greatest.

Early in the second round of their contest, Pacio tried to halt the experienced boxer’s forward pressure by throwing an inside low kick.

Doliguez did well to anticipate the strike and stepped out of range, but “The Passion” followed up immediately.

The Team Lakay product stepped straight through to close the distance, and then he whipped his body around and launched a spinning backfist. The powerful strike hit its mark and immediately dropped Doliguez to the canvas for an instant knockout.

Belingon crushes Leone with spinning kick

Pacio’s Team Lakay stablemate Kevin Belingon has shown even more of the Philippine team’s incredible wushu skills when he defeated Andrew Leone at ONE: Heroes of Honor in April 2018.

The former ONE bantamweight world champion was on point all night, and he found the right moment to unleash his spinning back kick at the start of round two.

Belingon’s thunderous strike landed directly into the American’s gut and the sheer power of it knocked him all the way back to the corner of the ring. The Filipino ran after him and unloaded a relentless volley of punches and elbows to end the contest.

Eustaquio  leaves his Lakay calling card

Another Team Lakay star entered the ring and delivered another stunning spinning knockout at ONE: Masters of Fate in November 2019.

Former ONE flyweight world champion Geje Eustaquio once again proved his status as the “Rematch King” when he stopped Toni Tauru with a hard-spinning back kick to the midsection in their second meeting.

The Baguio City native took aim with the shot several times, but he finally hit the mark in the third frame. He exploded towards Tauru with his spin, and even though the Finn saw it coming, he could not stop it.

“Dynamite” dropped an elbow to block it, but Eustaquio found the gap with his heel. It smashed straight into his rival’s liver, and left Tauru incapacitated on the canvas. – ONE release
