Team Lakay’s Stephen Loman is ready to take on former ONE bantamweight world champion John Lineker in the undercard of ONE Fight Night 14 set at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Sept. 30.

The former Brave Combat Federation longest bantamweight world champion was earlier expecting to challenge reigning ONE bantamweight world champion Fabricio Andrade, but he has to face Lineker first in a crucial bout.

Loman became the top two contender in the division following his three consecutive wins inside the circle, including the dominant victory against long-time champion Bibiano Fernandes.

Loman, 31, currently holds a professional mixed martial arts record of 16 wins and two losses and has not been defeated since 2016.

The Brazilian Lineker, on the other hand, introduced himself to ONE promotion by storm when he outclassed two former champions, Fernandes and Kevin Belingon.

His last victory was against former number one contender Jae Woong Kim this year.

The 33-year-old Lineker, who also fought in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, now holds an MMA record of 36 wins and 10 losses.

In an interview, Loman said his camp has a game plan against the Brazilian slugger, who scored a technical knockout win against Kim with a brutal left hook and unanswered punches.

Loman has a reach advantage against Lineker while he is also a better wrestler as he has displayed in his fight against Fernandes.

The Cordilleran fighter also has power to KO Lineker, who is also a known heavy hitter.

“I have power in my hands as well, and I believe I can knock him out,” Loman said.
