MANLILIKHA NG BAYAN — The National Commission for Culture and the Arts has announced that Amparo Mabanag of Paracelis, Mountain Province has been conferred the Gawad Manlilikha ng Bayan (Gamaba), or the National Living Treasures Award for her exceptional skill and artistry through her creation of the Ga’dang beadworks and embroidery. Gamaba awardees are entitled to P200,000 cash prize, monthly pension of P50,000, and annual medical benefit of not more than P750,000. (Story on page 8) — NCCA photo
