Mankayan, Benguet golfing pride Mars Modon won as the overall champion with his lowest gross feat while a female caddy stole the thunder with her hole-in-one during the golf fellowship of the Rotary Club of Baguio Summer Capital at Pinewoods Golf & Country Club recently.
Aside from sinking her first hole-in-one at hole 9 using a Cleveland pitching wedge and a Titleist Pro-V ball from 110 yards, Gladys Paderes also topped the Pinewoods lady caddies division followed by JC Alipit and Cynthia de Guzman.
The ladies regular A was topped by Demma Dulnuan while Yang Heechel topped the ladies regular C followed by Letty Samson and Kim Si Yeong.
Local coach Sonny Liwan won as champion in the men’s caddy division followed by Ronald Espiritu, and Florendo Laza.
Rolly Tangalin ruled the men’s regular A followed by David Roach, and Teddy Cheong while class B was topped by Wiko Sally followed by Tito Guineden, and Nico Tabora.
The men’s C championship trophy went to Chris Bolayo followed by Julius Quilacio and Amor Paderes.
Retired police general Ed Basbas continues to improve in his game as he won as champion in the senior’s A followed by Itong Tan and Paeng Ding while Amor Fores topped the senior’s B followed by Bong Tabora and Robert Manrique.
Agripino Serafica topped the System 36 division followed by Joseph Galera and Danny Mansanok. – Press release
