Nine supporting bouts are lined up in the undercard of the much-awaited “Fight for Glory” featuring Carl Jammes Martin versus Komgrich Nantapech in the main card set at the Cordillera Career and Development College in La Trinidad, Benguet on Dec. 17.

Presented by Pinoy Prodigy Boxing Promotion of Darwin Miller Dep-ay, the undercard will see MJ Uduna fighting Eduardo Mansito an eight-rounder bout in the 126 pounds.

Roman Canto is set to face Eduardo Mansito in the 130 lbs., also for an eight-round duel.

Two six-round bouts are likewise scheduled in the event set in coordination with Highland Boxing Promotion of Brico Santig.

Romeo Tenorio will be up against Elmar Zamora in the 112 lbs. while Alie Laurel will fight Jecker Buhawe in the 126 lbs.

Five four-rounder bouts will also feature up and coming boxers from the Cordillera and rest of the country with Vincent Jorda taking on the debuting Jhanjhan Himiwat in the 108 lbs. while both debuting Ronerick Ballesteros and Daniel Dave Egsaen are set in the 135 lbs.

Ed Liwan will face Joshua Navarro in the 122 lbs. while Holmes Tagart will test his mettle against Orlandino Sinaloba in the 120 lbs.

Two more debuting boxers – Marsolo Pandian and Roel Eyes – will serve as curtain raiser in the event sanctioned by the Games and Amusement Board.

Santig said three known boxers are on standby, as talks are still ongoing with the camps of their potential opponents.

It is the first time the reigning World Boxing Association Asia super bantamweight world champion Martin will fight in La Trinidad where most famous Igorot boxers before him started their journey.

Martin and Nantapech will fight for the vacant International Boxing Federation Pan Pacific super bantamweight belt. – Harley F. Palangchao
