BONTOC, Mountain Province – The Pag-IBIG Fund has now a satellite office at the 3rd Floor of the Bontoc Municipal Capitol.
Mayor Franklin Odsey approved the request of the Pag-IBIG Fund to be provided a space at the Bontoc Municipal Capitol since it now has personnel who will report to the office to accept and process loans and provide services to the members.
Mervin Pereda, Pag-IBIG Fund Area Head of Ilocos Region and Baguio branches, along with Pag-IBIG Fund Baguio-Branch Head Corina Joyce Balanon-Calaguin met with Odsey on March 15 to express their gratitude of the latter’s positive response to their request.
Pereda said the Pag-IBIG Fund-Satellite Office will not only cater to members from the capital town but also from the other municipalities and neighboring provinces.
“The presence of a satellite office in Bontoc will lessen the financial burden and time of members traveling to Baguio City to process their documents and avail of the services of Pag-IBIG Fund,” the mayor said.
Odsey lauded the Pag-IBIG Fund for reaching out to the LGU so they may continuously provide effective and efficient services to their clients, especially during this pandemic.
Calaguin said while they are in Bontoc, they have accepted loan applications from members until March 16 and submitted these to Pag-IBIG-Baguio.
Loan application forms are available at the Pag-IBIG Fund Satellite Office or can be downloaded through the Pag-Ibig Fund website.
Among the services offered by Pag-IBIG are membership and savings programs, regular savings, housing loan, home equity appreciation loan, short-term loans, multipurpose loan, calamity loan, and savings claim (regular and MP2 savings). – Alpine Killa-Malwagay
