Maynard Pecson emerged as overall champion in the 1st Tublay mountain bike ITT challenge held on Jan. 30 in Tublay, Benguet.
Pecson has recorded the fastest time in road bike category with a time of 24 minutes and 34 seconds to lead the 118 participants in the event that raised funds for the production of modules for Tublay School of Home Industries (TSHI) and Baayan Elementary School. 
Albert Ong placed second with a time of 25:17 followed by Leo Aguilar Ragel with a time of 26:09.
Gio Raphael Diego placed fourth in the overall competition and led the 17 years old and below with a time of 26:20 followed by Karl Andrei Basto and Mark Edgar Saldaen.
Giro Carpio topped the 18 to 30 years old category with a time of 26:33 time followed by Jemart Apa-an and Dexter Torres.
The 31 to 40 years old saw Argor Joseph Velo leading the group with a time of 28:25 followed by Harry Tanoja and Jose Glenn Aqui.
Gary Padsing ruled the 41 to 50 years old category, trailed by Sonny Lamsis and Ricardo Arciaga.
Ronald Laranang dominated the 51 years old and above followed by Noel Pelicano and Bhok Waje.
Eisset Liwag emerged as champion in the ladies group followed by Marissa Cayowet and Southeast Asian Games gold medalist in the obstacle course racing and triathlete Sandi Abahan. 
The participants started at the Kamunayan Bridge along the Gov. Bado Dangwa Road and ended at the TSHI grounds.
The event, backed by the Tublay local government, raised P88,542.96 from the registration fees and donations. The amount raised, minus the total expenses during the event, was turned over to the school beneficiaries. – Ofelia C. Empian
