Sixteen personnel of the Philippine Military Academy have completed their training on contact tracing.
Police Regional Office Cordillera Information Officer Capt. Marnie Abellanida said the PMA, the city government, and the Baguio City Police Office collaborated to train academy personnel on proper contact tracing.
Authorities conducted the training to contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus at the PMA which is being monitored because of clustering of cases.
Mayor and contact tracing czar Benjamin Magalong urged officials of PMA to organize their own contact tracing team, similar to what the local government unit has, to ensure that close contacts, especially possible carriers, are found, isolated, and treated.
He assured the PMA that the city government will assist in the formation of contact tracing teams if asked.
The Department of Health-Cordillera reported that as of Jan. 14, there are 101 positive cases at PMA. – PNA
