ASIPULO, Ifugao – The Ifugao Provincial Mobile Force Company (IPFMC), in partnership with its advisory council, continues to bring government closer to the people even during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The group recently reached out to 80 families at Sitio Maloy, Barangay Cawayan this town.
IPMFC Commander, Lt. Col. Ayson Tenenan, said they distributed assorted goods to the beneficiaries courtesy of the money generated through fund raising activities conducted by the IPMFC personnel and other stakeholders.
Police personnel also provided free haircut to some children.
“More than 10 children were also provided snacks and free haircut of their choice as part of the activities in support to the programs to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC),” Tenenan added.
During the distribution of the items, personnel of the IPMFC also oriented the families about their mandates, programs on anti-terrorism, and the recruitment schemes of terrorist groups.
The Philippine Information Agency-Ifugao and the National Police Commission also briefed the families of the agencies’ programs and services.
The Maloy residents thanked the IPMFC and the advisory council members for conducting an outreach in their place, located several kilometers from the town proper.
The group walked almost three hours in rugged terrain to reach the place.
Those who attended the distribution and the briefing said they will share the information and the knowledge they gained from the activity to their family members to prevent them from being misguided.
