The crime laboratory of the Police Regional Office Cordillera has been recognized as the country’s “Best Crime Laboratory Regional Office” for 2019.
The Benguet Provincial Crime Laboratory Scene of the Crime Operatives team headed by Major Lordan de Mesa was also adjudged as the country’s “Best SOCO Team.”
Maj. Angeline B. Amangan of the same office was awarded as the country’s “Best DNA Analyst,” while crime lab head, Col. Filemon C. Porciuncula Jr., was the “Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer for Administration for 2019.”
Members of the regional crime lab Regional Advisory Council headed by Gary Paul Abelawere were also given certificates of appreciation from the national headquarters of the PNP for their continued support and volunteerism in advancing the crime lab’s goals and aspirations.
The advisory council was previously adjudged as the country’s crime laboratory “Best Advisory Council” for 2018.
The awards were given during the 75th anniversary of the PNP crime lab on June 22.
B/Gen. Rolando Hinanay, chief of the PNP Crime Laboratory Group, handed the awards to Porciuncula who represented the PRO-Cor Crime Lab team.
Hinanay also recognized the regional crime lab’s significant contribution to the attainment of its mission and vision. – Press release
