The Philippine Statistics Authority-Cordillera will implement an online appointment system to its civil registration services in Baguio City and Bangued, Abra.
PSA-Cordillera Director Villafe Alibuyog announced last week the civil registration service appointment system aims to achieve a more efficient transaction process for the issuance of civil registry documents such as birth, marriage and death certificates, and certificate of no marriage or advisory on marriages with authentications.
“It aims to further manage the daily crowd volume and implement prescribed health protocols,” Alibuyog said.
The system provides user-friendly features such as allowing the applicant to reschedule or cancel their appointment. It also provides downloadable application forms and health declaration form.
Regular clients may now book their preferred date and time of appointment for free at https://appointment.psa.gov.ph.
An email address of the applicant is required where a non-transferable appointment slip will be sent by the system. The appointment slip will either be printed or presented upon entering the civil registry system outlets together with a matching valid identification card.
For applicants who are authorized representatives, an authorization letter or special power of attorney executed by the document owner is required along with the latter’s valid identification card.
Alibuyog said senior citizens, persons with disability or pregnant women are not required to book an online appointment as the usual courtesy lane will be provided to them, but only if they are applying for their own document, as legal spouse, children or parents. If not, they will have to book their appointment online.
Liaison officers of Batch Request Entry System partners and Local Civil Registry offices are also not required for an online appointment.
