The city’s setup and operation for the Oplan Kaluluwa have been issued for the guidance of the public.
City Administrator Bonifacio dela Peña advised residents they may visit their departed loved ones at cemeteries up to Oct. 16 and they must observe the minimum health standards to prevent spread of Covid-19.
Dela Peña reminded administrators of public and private cemeteries and similar places that these areas will be closed from Oct. 29 to Nov. 4 as per declaration of the Inter-Agency Task Force.
He said entry to the cemeteries starting Oct. 17 to 28 will be regulated according to minimum health rules and color of market passes earlier issued to each household.
Five adults per family will be allowed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. All will be required to present an identification card.
The schedule for yellow cardholders is Oct. 17, 20, 21, 23, 24, 27, and 28; green – Oct. 17, 19, 21, 22, 24, 26, and 28; and blue cardholder days are Oct. 19, 20, 22, 23, 26, and 27.
Senior citizens and minors 13 to 20 to years old may visit on Oct. 18 and 25, with groups not exceeding five persons.
La Trinidad, Itogon, Sablan, Tuba, and Tublay residents may visit during the two Saturdays, Oct. 17 and 24.
All cemetery goers are advised to limit visits to two hours.
A two-way traffic along Naguilian Road shall be implemented from Nov. 17 to 28. Pay-parking areas are located near Cooyeesan Plaza and Recoletos Seminary. Motorists, however, are advised to observe “pick-and-go” at the cemetery gate.
There shall be no selling of flowers, candles and other items at cemeteries and within its premises. Noise-makers, toys, weapons, dangerous items and liquor are also prohibited.
Cemetery goers may buy flowers only at the flower stalls in Burnham Lake Drive 1 near Ganza Restaurant which will operate from Oct. 17 to 28.
The “bagsakan” for flowers shall be at the Old Library site near Athletic Bowl from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m.; Jose Abad Santos Drive, Burnham Park, 7 p.m. to 12 a.m.; Rabbit Sinkhole, Magsaysay, 8 p.m. to 4 p.m.; Magsaysay Avenue near the market rice section, 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.; and Harrison Road, 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. – Julie G.
