The City Planning and Development Office (CPDO) will conduct a safe spaces audit seminar in the coming weeks that will tackle the Covid-19 pandemic, climate change, and disaster risk reduction and management.
CPDO Coordinator, Arch. Donna Tabangin, said the audit aims to assess whether residents of a place or an environment are exposed to physical or emotional harm.
“We can only say that residents are free from physical or emotional harm when they are enjoying a good quality of life,” she said.
Targeted participants to the 18-day session are representatives from concerned city government offices and agencies, Tabangin said.
Conducted in coordination with the departments of the Interior and Local Government and Human Settlements and Urban Development, the first session is scheduled on Sept. 15 to 18 with the rest slated on later dates.
Seminar outputs will be geared towards complementing the city’s 15-point executive-legislative agenda. – Gaby Keith
