Close to 50 agencies will converge for the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair Caravan on April 21 to 22 at the Benguet State University gym in La Trinidad, Benguet to bring various services to the public.

Benguet Rep. Eric Yap said the province was chosen to host the event in the Cordillera along with 15 provinces hosting the biggest service fair nationwide.

The Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair is the country’s largest service caravan under the current administration, geared towards delivering major government services especially to underprivileged Filipinos.

Among its highlights are flagship programs like Kadiwa ng Pangulo, passport on wheels, and driver’s license registration/assistance.

“Handpicked tayo, and we said we’ve been lobbying for this so we said yes to hosting this event. It will be a convergence of all government services in one venue, tens of thousands ang makikinabang throughout the province. It is consistent sa advocacy natin na pinaparamdam ang serbisyo sa tao kahit na nasa malalayo,” Yap said.

Aside from the government agencies, Yap said the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) will also be present during the event for RFID installation services.

He said the partnership aims to streamline travel and enhance efficiency for both travelers and the vegetable transporters, further contributing to the region’s development and connectivity.

The presence of NLEX at the caravan is something new compared to the earlier conduct of the event in other provinces.

The lawmaker said several programs and surprises will be up for grabs for those who will avail of the different services.

There will be payouts of cash assistance for pre-identified beneficiaries, government services, food, and raffle items for those availing of the different services.

There will also be performances from surprise guests during the two-day event, with its emphasis on service, inclusivity, and empowerment, according to Yap. – Ofelia C. Empian
