SN Aboitiz Power-Benguet, Inc. (SNAP-Benguet) bagged the top awards in the Gawad Kaligtasan at Kalusugan awards conferred by the Department of Labor and Employment.

Through the GKK, DOLE recognizes outstanding establishments and individuals in terms of successful health, safety, and environment programs and policies.
The regional selection committee chaired by the DOLE regional director and composed of experts from the agency, Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC), Employees Compensation Commission, safety organizations, and the private sector, among other groups, declared SNAP-Benguet as the region’s champion after conducting regional validation and judging of qualified entries.
OSHC Director Ma. Teresita Cucueco commended the regional winners and encouraged industries and individuals to continuously uphold safety and health in the workplace and participate in the GKK program.
The regional award makes SNAP-Benguet eligible for the national GKK search, winners of which will be determined later in the year.
SNAP Group’s other business unit, SNAP-Magat, was awarded the same distinction in its respective region on Oct. 24 in Tuguegarao City.
