Renewable energy solutions provider SN Aboitiz Power Magat (SNAP-Magat) continues to deliver on its promise of social responsibility to its host communities in Ifugao, Isabela, and Nueva Vsizcaya through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) fund.

SNAP-Magat signed agreements with local government units in Isabela, Ifugao, and Nueva Vizcaya for projects that address the communities’ immediate health and safety needs.

These include the procurement of food packs for around 180 families of Barangay Calimag in Alfonso Lista; purchase of a Covid-19 response vehicle of Barangay Hapid in Lamut; a bailer machine project in Aguinaldo, Ifugao; purchase of barangay motorcycle patrol vehicles for Barangay Planas; purchase of personal protective equipment (PPE) and medical supplies for barangays Ambatali and Gen. Aguinaldo, Ramon, Isabela; construction of a quarantine facility in barangay Taliktik, Cordon, Isabela; and potable water supply projects and public comfort room upgrades in Diadi, Nueva Vizcaya.

Aguinaldo Mayor Gaspar Chilagan expressed gratitude during the MOA signing between SNAP-Magat and the municipality.

“The bailer machine greatly aids in recycling, thus, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in our municipality,” the mayor said.

“SNAP stays true to its commitment to making a positive impact, especially in these trying times. We understand and value the needs of our host communities and fully support efforts to improve health and safety as these are also two of our top priorities,” said Engr. Ed Bundalian, SNAP-Magat assistant vice president and plant manager.

In compliance with Covid-19 safety protocols, the MOAs were signed at the Magat dam crest, an open-air space.

Since the pandemic last year, SNAP-Magat’s host communities have benefitted from 88 projects totalling P22 million through the CSR fund. – Press   release
