STO. NIÑO MINE REHAB — A group of scientists and researchers called Bio Plus Mine led by Project lead Arnel Beltran of De La Salle University, Natural History Museum’s Anne Jungblut, and Imperial College London’s Yves Plancherel, turns over a story book specifically catered for the Sto. Niño mine community, to Tublay, Benguet Mayor Armando Lauro during their courtesy call. The group, in partnership with Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology and University of New South Wales Sydney is working with the locality in the rehabilitation of the decommissioned mine in Barangay Ambassador with funding from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs of United Kingdom. — Ofelia Empian
