After suspended for two years, the Strawberry Festival of La Trinidad, Benguet will be held the whole month of March featuring eight activities. 
Mayor Romeo Salda said the activities has been toned down to conform with the minimum public health standards during the events from March 11 to March 30.
The Strawberry Lane, which will showcase the various products of the micro, small, and medium enterprises, is set from March 15 to 30 at the municipal park. It will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. with various stalls offering products specially made from strawberry and coffee, which the municipality is known for.
Salda said the traditional owik (butchering of pigs) in which the Ibaloy thanksgiving ritual panodsoran will be performed, will commence on March 18 followed by a thanksgiving mass and a short program with limited participants at the municipal park.   
At the same day, bakers in town will display their prowess for the strawberry cake competition at the municipal park.  
Musical performances will be witnessed on March 18 to 20 during the Strawberry Jam competition at the tourism building stage, which can be viewed by the public.
All barangays are enjoined to take part of the roadside general cleaning on March 11 while volunteers are welcome to join the tree caring activity at the Puguis communal forest on March 17 and the Balili River cleanup on March 25 to be led by the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office.
As part of the tourism promotion in the municipality, the Kavadjo shi La Trinidad (horseback riding) is set on March 26 in Barangay Tawang. The route for the horseback riding will be from Mt. Yangbew to Tayawan Heights, overlooking the scenery of the valley. – Ofelia C. Empian
