TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Four hundred two students who worked under the Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES) here are set to receive their wages.
Francis Dale Biag of the City Public Employment Services Office said those who worked for 10 to 20 days in August will receive a daily wage ranging between P300 and P402.45.
The beneficiaries are college students who are at least 21 years old, pursuant to SPES Order 4 issued by the Department of Labor and Employment in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
As a precautionary measure against the Covid-19, the deployment of the first batch of beneficiaries composed of junior and senior high school students, scheduled last April was suspended.
Biag said those dispatched for work were told to strictly observe health protocols.
The PESO asked those with lacking requirements to complete their documents for the timely release of their wages. – Larry T. Lopez
