THREE-STAR ARMY GENERAL — True blue Baguio boy, Benedict Musni Arevalo, the current commander of the Visayas Command of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, has been promoted to the rank of lieutenant general during ceremonies held in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City on Jan. 23. A graduate of Saint Louis University High School and a member of the Philippine Military Academy Class of 1990, Arevalo is a battle-tested Scout Ranger officer, who was assigned in conflict-stricken areas in the South. He is the son of spouses Col. Filoteo Arevalo, Sr. and Norma Arevalo. His father is a member of PMA Class of 1956. — AFP PIO photo
