Amateur biking enthusiasts are invited to join the second “Tour of Besao” in Besao, Mountain Province on March 2.

Not only will bikers get to do exercise and commune with fellow participants but they will also raise funds for the benefit of Besao Central School.

Samuel Egsaen, Jr. of the Baguio Kalasag group said the activity will be part of the annual town fiesta, which is just adjacent to Sagada town.

“On top of the usual fostering of friendship and camaraderie among bikers, this activity also aims to promote tourism in our locality through biking and to raise funds for the development of the school grounds,” Egsaen said.

Categories include 17 years old and below, 18 to 29 years old, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 years old and above, and the female open category.

Bikers will go through winding and dirt roads of the quaint and picturesque town.

Participants must have tire specifications of 1.95 and above (26er3, 27.5er, and 29er).

Registration fee is P1,000, inclusive of souvenir shirt, three meals, snacks, and guaranteed cash prizes for all top five finishers in each category.

To register, participants may pay their fees to Thelma Lamagan via GCash at 0919-668-3963 and send her the name, age, T-shirt size, and address of the participant. There will be no on-site registration.
