Outdoor and trail running enthusiasts will have a day of fun during the trail run competition in Camp John Hay, Baguio City today, April 24.
The Trailfest 2022 will feature five-kilometer, 12-km., and 21-km. trail runs. 
“It is a celebration and appreciation of all our fellow trail runners and outdoor enthusiasts who have been with us through the years,” said Team Malaya, the event organizer.
Gun starts at 5 a.m. at the Ayala TechnoHub, where the race will also end.
Organizers said the 21-km. will start at 6 a.m. with six hours cut-off time while the 12-km. starts at 6:15 a.m. with five hours cut-off, and the five-km. starts at 6:25 a.m. with three hours cut-off time.
Participants are reminded to bring their own water bottle and not to litter along the trails. Anyone caught littering will be automatically disqualified from the race.
Top three finishers will receive trophies in each category during the event backed by Baguio-Ayala Land Techno Hub, Recreational Outdoor Exchange, Amihan, Garmin, Fitbar, Valley Bread, Toyville, Anytime Fitness, Kabalikat 1Civicom, and Team Cordillera.
Meanwhile, Team Malaya, which is a local trailrunning group based in Baguio City, has opened the registration for those interested to join its Mt. Tapulao trail run on May 1.
Mt. Tapulao is one of the tallest mountains in the Zambales mountain range. The peak, which rises to an elevation of 2,037 meters above sea level, is located in Palauig.
The organizers said the event will have 21-km. and 42-km. trail runs and will require vaccination cards from the participants.
