Graduates of Pines City Colleges and University of Baguio made it to the top 10 examinees with the highest ratings in the latest licensure examination for dentists.

Jacob David Manabat of PCC is in the number five spot garnering 82.04 rating together with Christine Jennifer Padilla of the University of the Philippines-Manila.

Also on the top 10 are Ma. Alyssa Carlos Tagata of UB on top eight with 81.63 rating.

PCC got a passing rate of 38.78 percent or 19 passers out of 49 takers while UB recorded a passing rate of 76.19 percent or 32 passers out of 42 examinees.

Leading the examinees is Anne Nicole Caeg of the University of the East-Manila with 83 percent rating as top one in the licensure examination held on Nov. 28 to 30, 2023 for the written and Jan. 4 to 11, 2024 for the practical across testing centers in Metro Manila.  

Meanwhile, Aljin Capusi Prado with 82.54 percent and Ma. Evan Ezra Reyes Cadag with 82.10 percent, both graduates of the UP Manila, secured the second and third spots, respectively.

The Professional Regulation Commission said only 732 examinees passed out of the 1,668 takers or 43.88 percent of the dentist licensure examination in the country. 

The schedule for online appointments for the new dentists’ professional ID and certificate of registration will start on Feb. 16. The PRC advises online registration through its official website at https://online.prc.gov.ph/.

In the May 2023 DLE, two of UB’s graduates were also in the top 10 roster with Nikko Dela Cruz Liberato on top three, followed by J.C. Heart Kitong Cariño on top four. – Ofelia C. Empian
