BONTOC, Mountain Province – The voter registration here will resume on Sept. 1.
Milton Fillag from the Commission on Elections announced this during the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) meeting on Aug. 19.
He said aside from voter’s registration, the Comelec will also accommodate other voter’s applications such as reactivation, correction of entries, and transfer of registration records.
He added registrants or new voter applicants should proceed to the Comelec municipal office to fill out forms. They should bring a valid identification card or birth certificates proving they are at least 18 years old on or before the May 9, 2022 national and local elections. Registrants will also be required to fill out a form where they must disclose information relating to their travel, if they have had contact with people infected with Covid-19, and if they are manifesting symptoms of the infection.
To ensure safety and cleanliness at all times, the Comelec municipal office will conduct disinfection and decontamination of its premises as well as its machines and other equipment.
