After a five-year hiatus, boxing champion Rex Wa-o is back and ready to clash fists in the “Relentless: Fists of Fire” set July 3 in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan.

Wa-o is set to redeem his record after suffering three consecutive losses in his last fights in 2015 and 2016, as he takes on Jonjon Estrada of Pasay City, who is also hungry for redemption having suffered four straight losses in his recent outings.

The two will see action in the six-round super featherweight class with Wa-o aiming to improve his record of 11 wins and four losses while Estrada stands at 11-8-1.

The Mountain Province native has a record of 10 consecutive wins since debuting in 2011 but experienced his first loss to Silvester Lopez in 2014 for the World Boxing Council International bantamweighttitle.

By 2015, he suffered another blow in his international fight against Xian Qian Wei for the WBC Asian Boxing Council featherweightbelt in Kunming, China via unanimous decision.

His third and fourth losses were his fight against Takahiro Yamamoto in Osaka, Japan for the Oriental Pacific Boxing Federation bantamweighttitle and against Jeo Santisima in Cebu City both in 2016.

Wa-o is the interim WBC Asian Boxing Council superbantamweight titleholder and also holds the Philippines Luzon Professional Boxing Association super bantamweight title.
