Government funds better spent outside economic zone
It is nice to see the ongoing road development inside Camp John Hay but why is it being implemented by the Bases Conversion Development Authority-John Hay Management Corp. using government funds?
This is an economic zone with a delinquent lessee but the lessee stands to benefit from this development.
The City of Baguio has not been paid its supposed shares from the lease for the past decades. Yet, here goes BCDA-JHMC spending millions of public funds on a leased area.
The funds would have been better spent for road and infrastructure developments within the city and not inside the economic zone where the greatest benefit goes to a delinquent developer and its successors. Why? — NAME WITHHELD, Baguio City
