Commercial building on university ground
The frontage of the Benguet State University main campus from Km. 5 to 6 along the national highway has been designated as a school zone.
But a commercial establishment will soon rise at Km. 5. This will displace the Early Childhood Development Center and Open University buildings and hide the College of Nursing.
It is a public clamor to seek compassion from the university president that the site of the commercial building be transferred at the back-filled farms along the Balili Road or at the swamp area.
BSU ought to implement an appropriate land use plan so it can use its assets to provide quality education, research, extension, and manage enterprises by employing its graduates. — PERCIVAL B. ALIPIT, Baguio City
