Comebacking Igorot Muay Thai and kickboxer Ryan “Sniper” Willis has emerged victorious in the co-main event of the ‘Rise of Warriors’ on May 29 at Sta. Rosa Sports Complex Arena in Laguna.

Willis, co-founder of Baguio-based Max Fusion Fighter’s Camp, knocked out Bryan Alviar of MAP Olongapo City in the second round of K1 kickboxing.

Also successful in his bout is Ryan “Super Kid” Bestre of Kafagway MMA-FitWorks Gym in the mixed martial arts bout, winning via referee stoppage due to ground and pound in the first round against Kieth Dominic Malvar of Sta. Rosa Lions. 

Another MAX Fusion athlete Zyra “Ztamp” Bon-as won via knockout against Lovelyn Poso of MAP Olongapo in their first round K1 kickboxing match of the event organized by Kafagway Lions MMA in partnership with the Santa Rosa government.

Sablan Eagles and FitWorks gym’s own Reshie Claire Bagni toppled Emilyn Sarsonavia in technical KO in the Muay Thai event while teammate Ryan Joe Bestre won via majority decision in the kickboxing undercard against Rogene Impas.

Ramsay Dauz of Pinget National High School Panthers and Kafagway MMA also won via technical KO against Justine Ramos in boxing.

In the main event in kickboxing, Lance Villamer of Sta. Rosa Kafagway Lions won via TKO against Mark Kean Crisostomo during the event backed by Samahang Kickboxing ng Pilipinas.

In the Muay Thai undercard, the victors were Alyssa Kylie Mallari, Jerene Rose Yldeso, Lawrence Adana, Mark Comea, and Nicholas Gabita while Prince Papagand Justine Klyde De Lara won in the kickboxing and boxing matches, respectively.

“Kafagway Combat Promotions will continue creating events like this in order for us to provide avenue to our up-and-coming fighters.
