The Baguio City Police Office reported zero crime in the city on Christmas eve.
In his report to Mayor Benjamin Magalong, BCPO Director, Col. Francis Bulwayan said the department recorded no crime from 5 p.m. of Dec. 24 to 7 a.m. Dec. 25.
“Baguio City has again proven its commitment to the safety and security of residents and visitors as (we) recorded zero crime incidents during the recent Christmas Eve celebration, despite the volume of tourists flocking the city to enjoy the Yuletide season,” Bulwayan said.
The police chief attributed this to the “intensified anti-criminality and public safety campaign initiated by the BCPO known as “Ligtas Paskuhan 2023” and the cooperation of the community. – Aileen P. Refuerzo
