CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga – Fourteen micro-entrepreneurs in the province recently finished the basic business coaching course under the Kapatid Mentor ME program of the Department of Trade and Industry.

The 14 entrepreneurs engaged in coffee processing, loom weaving, resort business, and restaurant services are from Balbalan, Lubuagan, and Tabuk City.

DTI Provincial Director Reini Ramos said the new graduates bring to 130 the total number of completers of the course since the program was launched in the province in 2016.

The Kapatid Mentor ME program increases business knowledge in the areas of mind-setting and values formation, marketing, business model, operations, digitalization, supply and value chain, accounting and finance, human resource, business innovation and good business governance and ethics.

Ramos said tool kits are also distributed to participants of the training but the same is still being worked out for the latest batch.

As incentive, DTI offers related assistance on product development, packaging, design and labeling to completers.
