KIANGAN, Ifugao – Female police officers of the First Ifugao Provincial Mobile Force Company (1st IPMFC) culminated the celebration of Women’s Month providing livelihood assistance and cash gift to a widow at Barangay Pindongan, this town.

The lady cops gave the family of Julie Tayaban a pangkabuhayan package consisting of a burger griller with deep fryer, cooler, and frozen foods to help her start a small burger business.  

The livelihood assistance dubbed “Pangkabuhayan mo, sagot ko” including cash gift was handed to the recipient on March 26 by the policewomen together with some local officials and Pastor Clarence Buyuccan who offered a prayer.

Tayaban is the lone provider of the needs of her five children, including one who is suffering from lymphoma. She has no permanent job or steady source of income.

Her situation touched the hearts of the police officers to donate some of their personal money for the purchase a livelihood  package to help her start a small  business as one source of income.

Tayaban expressed her gratitude to the police officers for the blessings they shared to help her support her family. – Marcelo Lihgawon
