The second Adivay Golf Cup will be staged this time at Camp John Hay on Nov. 15 and at the Baguio Country Club on Nov. 17, organizers announced last week.
The first day of the tournament will feature the team event where the 13 towns of Benguet and Baguio will field their own teams composed of five players a team.
If there is an excess in players, any municipality can field as many teams but each team must have a maximum of five players.
Registration fee for the team event will be P2,800 per player or P14,000 for a team of five. The adopted scoring system for the team event will be the modified Stableford.
Several towns have already submitted the initial list of team players. Tuba is the defending champion in the team event.
The individual event will be held at the tricky BCC fairway with System 36 as the scoring system.
Registration fee for individual event is P1,800.
There is no limit as to the number of participants in the individual play for as long as they are bona fide residents of Benguet and Baguio.
The tournament that drew players back to their roots in Benguet was also a reunion of sorts for the local parbusters, who are among the best non-rated players in Luzon. – Harley F. Palangchao
