BONTOC, Mountain Province- In a significant step towards promoting agri-fishery growth and economic empowerment, the local government unit distributed 80 bags of tilapia fingerlings to farmers and fisherfolks on May 29.

The initiative aims to not only boost food security but also contribute to the economic upliftment of residents in the municipality.

In his message, Mayor Jerome Tudlong, Jr. urged the recipients to row the fingerlings they received to help their families with food sustenance and economic upliftment.

Vice Mayor Eusebio Kabluyen also emphasized the importance of community collaboration saying the success of the initiative depends on the participation and commitment of the fisherfolk.
