It is owned and operated by Hansel David Co and his family, headed by his dad Dionisio who also owns Silverstone Inn. The family now owns the Orchard Hotel, King Chef and That Little Café (TLC) along Legarda Road. Hansel always has a way of naming his favorite joints and discovery hubs.
For instance, TLC can also be interpreted as “tender loving care”. It is probably like his charming personality, open, amiable, happy and caring. I am sure that the equally charming and loving wife, Hollan, and children Zakiya, Heber and Zoey have more to say.
When I asked Hansel where his inspiration came from in establishing a spa, he said, “Our inspiration came from Okada Manila and Shangrila spas.”
According to him Sweet Spa’s name was also inspired by Orchard Hotel itself whose main building houses 66 special rooms and is all about flowers and fruits. Future expansion will include more rooms and amenities like a pool and a gym.
“That little café is our international restaurant while King Chef Dimsum Kitchen is our Chinese restaurant. Blossom Hall is the main ballroom. I want to add more amenities and facilities to become a four-star hotel,” Hansel added.
Not to mention that the TLC and the Orchard Hotel itself offer a commanding 180-degree view of the CBD.
The Sweet Spa opened in April. It is an oasis that is sure to boost your tired achy body brought about by stress, pressure and fatigue, alleviated by long hours of work, sports, over thinking and other major concerns. Well-trained massage therapists in Swedish massage and deep tissue massage to release muscle tension, reduce stress and enhance your overall sense of relaxation and well-being are ready to meet you with their smiles.
The Sweet Spa’s mantra is “to boost, to balance and to calm”, specifically designed to heal mind and body. They have signature packages like: Essence of Benguet and Banaue wellness ritual.
They offer massages like: Session Road body cure, Burnham immune recovery, La Trinidad deep sleep and Loakan super chargers.
For treatments they have Botanical hydrator and forest enrich body wraps. These therapeutic treatments last from 30 minutes to three hours depending on your choice. Other choices include body scrub and wrap, aroma therapy massage, alternating cold and warm body stones and eye revitalizing treatments to reduce eye puffiness appearance. They also have dry sauna or steam bath and showers. Most of all they offer foot bath for your dainty and sturdy feet and holistic facials.
