The Autism Society Philippines (ASP)-Baguio, in collaboration with advocates and stakeholders, organized the annual Angels Walk For Persons with Autism (PWAs) at SM City Baguio and Skyranch Baguio on April 13.

ASP-Baguio in partnership with the Disability Affairs Office of the City Mayor’s Office participated in the in-mall parade, which brought together Baguio’s autism community, including PWAs, their families, teachers, therapists, students from schools, volunteers from non-government organization and socio-civic organizations, as well as advocates from the public and private sectors, all demonstrating their commitment to an “Autism-OK Philippines”.

The Angels Walk for Autism is more than just a walk; it is a celebration of milestones and a testament to the unwavering commitment to building an Autism-OK Philippines.

Since its inception in 2000, the walk has evolved into a powerful platform for showcasing the talents of individuals on the autism spectrum.

It is a jubilant display of accomplishments and a call to action for public awareness, private sector involvement, and the inclusion of the autism agenda in government social development initiatives.

The ASP is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to creating an environment that empowers individuals on the autism spectrum disorder to reach their full potential and become self-reliant, productive, independent, and socially-accepted members of an Autism-OK Philippines. – Press release
