ADIVAY GRAND CAÑAO — The provincial government and the 13 towns of Benguet together with guests and visitors celebrated the 123rd foundation anniversary on Nov. 23 and the Adivay Festival with a grand canão with Gov. Melchor Diclas, Vice Gov. Ericson Felipe, and Rep. Eric Go Yap gracing the occasion themed, “Benguet: Gateway for unforgettable getaways”. The celebration began with a thanksgiving dance where the pigs caught during the “depap” were blessed and brought before the Almighty before the animals were butchered to be partaken by hundreds of participants who were gathered for the whole day at the Benguet Sports Complex grounds. — Ofelia Empian
