ALCALDE HONORARY TITLE — Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong was conferred as honorary mayor or “alcalde” of the City of San Antonio, Texas effective Oct. 20 with Mayor Ron Nirenberg conferring his appointment. Magalong along with other members of the city delegation are in Texas city for the establishment of the sisterhood ties between San Antonio and Baguio. With the mayor is his wife, Arlene, City Administrator Bonifacio dela Peña, Saint Louis University President Fr. Gilbert Sales, and SLU Hospital Medical Director Dr. Paul Quitiquit, who also attended the San Antonio City Council and the Alamo Asian American Chamber of Commerce meetings, in celebration of the Filipino American Historic Heritage Month in the United States. — Benjamin Magalong Facebook photos
