Baguio City continues to have the highest testing rate in the region with 16.97 percent or 62,835 of its 370,218 population tested as of Nov. 18.
Data on the testing and positivity rate from the Department of Health Cordillera also showed Benguet had a testing rate of 8.91 percent with 42,623 individuals tested out of its 478,334 population.
Apayao was third with 6.33 percent (7,845 individuals tested out of 123,898 population) followed by Mountain Province, 3.64 percent (5,717 of 156,988); Kalinga, 3.28 percent (7,231 of 220,229); Abra, 2.85 percent (7,047 out of 247,402); and Ifugao, 2.81 percent (5,914 of 210,669).
The city also had the highest positivity rate at 4.49 percent with a total of 2,821 confirmed cases.
The figure is slightly higher than Benguet’s 4.20 percent with 1,792 positive cases. Kalinga’s positivity rate was 3.42 percent (247 cases) while Ifugao had 1.69 percent (100 cases), Abra 1.52 percent (107 cases), Apayao, 0.79 percent (62) and Mountain Province, 0.65 percent (37 cases).
The region’s testing rate as of said date was at 7.70 percent and positivity rate at 3.71 percent.
Data on the BLISTT, which did not indicate the period covered, showed that Baguio’s testing rate was at 16.66 percent while La Trinidad’s was 10.95 percent (15,165 out of its 138,424 population); Itogon, 8.35 percent (5,356 of 64,126); Sablan – 8.16 percent (1,002 of 12,283); Tuba – 6.24 percent (3,189 of 51,077); and Tublay – 3.07 percent (588 of 19,179).
As to their case positivity rates, Itogon had the highest at 12.1 percent (648 out of 5,346) followed by Tuba at 11.2 percent (358 out of 3,189), Baguio at 4.5 percent (2,821 out of 62,676), La Trinidad at 3.8 percent (571 out of 15,165), Tublay at 2.9 percent (17 out of 588) and Sablan at 2.7 percent (27 out of 1,002).
