Baguio City Police Office’s City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), in collaboration with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Cordillera (PDEA-CAR), conducted a successful anti-illegal drug operation in Purok 14, Cypress Irisan, Baguio City on April 25.
The operation resulted in the apprehension of two high-value individuals (HVI) identified as a 48-year-old male and a 46-year-old male, both known for their involvement in drug distribution within Baguio City.
Operatives acting as poseur buyers purchased 10 sachets of suspected shabu, collectively weighing approximately 41 grams, with a standard drug price (SDP) of P278,800 from the seller.
Another sachet of suspected shabu, weighing 2.94 grams with an SDP of P19,992, was seized from his cohort. Buy-bust money was also confiscated during the operation.
The confiscated items were inventoried on-site in the presence of the apprehended suspects, representatives from the Department of Justice, media, and Barangay Irisan officials.
The arrested individuals are currently in the custody of the CDEU and will face charges for violations of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The seized evidence have been forwarded to the Baguio City Forensic Unit offices for laboratory examination. – Press release
