Former ONE bantamweight world champion Kevin Belingon has been booked in the ONE: Inside the Matrix series against a veteran mixed martial arts fighter in Singapore on Nov. 13.

ONE announced on weekend that Belingon will face former Ultimate Fighting Championship flyweight contender John Lineker in one of the main cards.

The 33-year-old warrior from Kia-ngan, Ifugao will be back in action more than a year after he suffered a rear-naked choke submission in the hands of reigning bantamweight champion Bibiano Fernandes in October 2019.

Belingon, who has 20 wins against seven losses, is facing one of the formidable fighters in ONE today, as Lineker, who is three years younger, has been a veteran in combat sports having a fight record of 32 wins and nine losses.

The Brazilian fighter has been fighting with UFC for more than seven years before he made his ONE debut in October 2019 with a unanimous decision win against former top contender Muin Gafurov.

Like Belingon, Lineker possesses a knockout power having stopped most of his opponents in various MMA promotions, including UFC, via knockout or technical knockout.

But Belingon is ready to give fans an exciting bout against the Brazilian, as the Cordilleran warrior has some of the best finishes in Asia’s biggest MMA promotion.

Lineker earned his nickname “Hands of Stone”, thanks to his tremendous punching power that has brought him KO victories in nearly half of his professional wins.

After winning several performance bonuses in North America, Lineker decided to challenge the best martial artists in the world on the global stage of ONE Championship. – Harley F. Palangchao
