The Baguio Water District advised consumers being supplied by the Ambiong tank that releases effective March 11 will be temporarily shut-off to give way for its rehabilitation.
In an advisory, the BWD said a direct in-line water supply from the Ambiong deepwells will be implemented causing low water pressure and/or adjustments in distribution time will be experienced intermittently in the affected areas during the tank’s rehabilitation works.
The affected areas are Maria Basa, Regidor, Simsim, Purok 2 and 4 Gibraltar, Purok 3 West and Purok 4 West and part of Purok 5 West Gibraltar, Paragas Line and part of Purok 5 East Gibraltar, J. Felipe, Arellano, Baguio Town House, Delos Reyes, Tuding, Siapno, Liteng-Pacdal, Amsing, Lualhati, Arellano Extension, Green Summerville, Rizal Elem. School, BCNHS-Pacdal Annex, North and South Central Aurora Hill, East Bayan Park, Sgt. Floresca, Quisumbing, parts of Upper Malvar, P. Guevara, Lower Rimando, T. Bugallon, Ledesma St., Interior Ledesma, parts of South Central Aurora Hill, San Antonio Village, Upper Lopez Jaena, de Jesus St., Lower Lopez Jaena, and Upper and Lower Brookspoint.
The project, which is aimed to eliminate leakages from the tank and improve its operational efficiency, will require at least 82 calendar days to be completed.
The BWD said affected consumers may opt to avail of water delivery services, as warranted.
