The city government will soon launch a web application that will provide traffic information and directional assistance to motorists, which is seen to be helpful in mitigating traffic congestion during crowd-drawing events in the city.
The traffic innovation application developed by the Management Information and Technology Division of the City Mayor’s Office will provide motorists information on what alternative routes to take to avoid congested roads to their destinations and what roads to avoid due to closures or inaccessibility.
It will also contain other useful information like the location of public utility jeepney terminals in the city and basic traffic rules being implemented in the city like the number coding, motorcycle routes, and truck ban.
The online traffic assistance application will be accessible through a QR code or direct visit to the website through a link that will be announced before deployment.
